Cooperation with the midwifes |

The Birth Centre midwives on duty visit you after the birth about three times. The midwife provides medical supervision and has final responsibility during the period after the birth. The maternity assistant functions as the ‘eyes and ears of the midwife’ and consults the midwife immediately whenever necessary. This close working relationship is an important aspect of our care. There is frequent consultation on the care policy to be followed and the information to be provided. The midwives and the maternity assistants know one another well and this benefits the continuity of care.
We also provide maternity care to clients from other obstetric practices. Of course there is also close cooperation with these midwives too and where necessary there is contact to discuss care details.
