An Amsterdam house has been transformed into an oasis of peace, where you can have your baby safely and in your own way, in a luxury birth suite. We offer a large, relaxing bath, a king-size double bed, constant attention and care, water births, and extra facilities for safe pain relief.

The Birth House is part of the renowned Amsterdam Birth Centre. For more than 20 years, the centre has been supporting pregnant women, expectant fathers and young parents through everything to do with pregnancy, birth and parenting.

The Birth House opens her doors at 21 March 2011.

You're welcome to bring you own midwife to give birth at the Birth House.

Parking and location

The Birth House is close to the city centre, in the section of the De Genestetstraat between the Bosboom Toussaintstraat and the Jacob van Lennepkade. There are plenty of ‘pay and display’ parking spaces in the area during the day. On the 1^e Constantijn Huygensstraat, within two minutes’ walking distance, there is an underground car park, open 24 hours a day.
