Magteld, paediatric nurse and manager, has worked at the clinic for more than ten years:
‘For me the clinic is the nicest place in the country to work. The people and the atmosphere are unique. The way I’m able to practice here is so professional and at the same time it’s so free and friendly. We don’t provide a standard package. We look at the individual needs of every child and aim specially at the particular mother or father we have in front of us.’

Maudy, paediatric nurse:
‘Apart from my work at the clinic, along with a colleague I also teach baby massage courses. This means I get to know the mothers again in a different way. It fits perfectly with my work at the clinic. During the course I can give them confidence simply by showing: massaging is actually talking with your hands.’

Eleonora, clinic doctor
‘At the Birth Centre there’s an ideal mix of friendliness, professionalism and intimacy. The design of the building contributes to the informal atmosphere. My working relationship with the district nurses is great, we complement each other perfectly. That means we can identify any problems at an early stage.’

Other district nurses: Sietske Hoogland, Manon Muijser and Marjolein Breugel

Second clinic doctor: Evelien van Eijk.
