HOME VISIT OR FIRST APPOINTMENT


When your baby is about two weeks old the paediatric nurse will call you to make a first appointment. It depends on where you live, in which postcode area, whether this appointment takes place at your home or at the Birth Centre clinic.
If there is any problem in arranging this first appointment, perhaps because you miss the call or can’t be contacted, you can also call us yourself on 020 8868500.
The first appointment includes the following:

•    Introduction
•    Opening and filling in your baby’s file
•    Discussion of the ‘Growth Guide’ (Groeigids, available in Dutch), of which you receive a copy
•    Information on the clinic
•    Information on sleep safety, breastfeeding, or other topical matters
•    Weighing your baby
•    Answering your questions
